Vivace Microneedling: Everything You Need to Know

Our skin provides a valuable barrier that protects our bodies from the outside world, but our largest organ, our skin, is not immune to damage, as most of us well know.  Over time, skin can sag and wrinkle, display brown or age spots, and display other common signs of aging. Plenty of people suffer from stretch marks associated with growth spurts, weight gain, or pregnancy.  Many of us have lasting acne scars from our youth or even from adult acne.

While proactively working to prevent skin damage by avoiding the sun, hydrating, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a good start, there’s no way to completely avoid damage, and eventually, aging will catch up with your skin.  What can you do to regain your youthful glow and treat existing issues? One great option is Vivace microneedling. What is it and what can it do for you?

What is Vivace, and What Does it Entail?

Vivace Microneedling is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical cosmetic procedure that offers incredible benefits for your skin.  Typical microneedling is a minimally-invasive process that involves the use of dozens of tiny needles, about 0.5-2.5 millimeters, that are arranged on a dermaroller.  The roller is applied to the face to create tiny punctures, like pinpricks, in the surface of the skin, stimulating a healing response and rejuvenating effects.

What makes Vivace different is the simultaneous application of radiofrequency (RF) technology and LED light therapy. Vivace also relies on superfine, insulated, gold-tipped needles that won’t tear at the skin, as some traditional microneedling procedures could. In addition, the process is assisted by robotics, ensuring precision and control throughout.

Perhaps you’ve undergone separate microneedling, RF, or LED skin treatments in the past, but when they’re combined, they not only deliver individual benefits, but they become more than the sum of their parts, providing significant improvements for a number of skin issues.

Prior to the treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to your face for your comfort.  From there, you can expect the procedure to take about 45 minutes, after which a cooling, soothing mask will be applied.  You can return home following the treatment, and there is virtually no downtime. You will need to apply broad-spectrum sunblock to protect sensitive skin as it heals, and you should avoid makeup the first day.  Expect skin to be somewhat red and swollen for about 1-2 weeks following the procedure.

Benefits of the Vivace Microneedling

Because Vivace pairs microneedling with RF and LED technologies, you’ll enjoy incredible benefits when you undergo the procedure.  You can generally expect treatments to:

  • Increase collagen production
  • Firm and plump skin
  • Assist in the removal of acne scars and dark spots
  • and create a radiant glow almost immediately.

The RF technology accelerates improvements while LED light therapy treats inflammation and speeds healing.  In other words, you’ll see enhanced results more quickly and you’ll have less recovery time than you would with traditional microneedling treatments.

Vivace Plus PRP

You can take Vivave one step further when you add PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) to your Vivace treatment. PRP is collected when a small sample of a patient’s blood is spun in a centrifuge, separating out the PRP from the red blood cells.

PRP is typically paired with microneedling treatments, like Vivace, rather than injections. This is because traditional injections simply aren’t plausible (as the PRP needs to cover a large surface area), but the PRP still needs to penetrate below the surface of the skin.

Is Vivace Microneedling Right for Me?

Vivace microneedling can help you combat any number of distressing skin conditions.  Perhaps you’re dealing with fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, dullness, stretch marks, or acne and scarring.  Vivace can address all of these issues, tightening and plumping skin, improving texture, and minimizing issues like scars, stretch marks, and even large pores.

After Vivace, you’ll enjoy a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance, and it’s not just for your face, but also the neck, chest, hands, and other areas.  Even better, it’s safe for nearly all skin types, so if you find that other cosmetic procedures aren’t advisable because of your skin tone, Vivace could provide the perfect solution.
