Tired of looking older than you feel? Or perhaps you’re struggling with enlarged pores or dull skin? Sciton’s Halo laser is the answer you’ve been waiting for! With this innovative laser treatment, you can achieve the flawless complexion you deserve.
What is Halo Laser Treatment?
Halo is a hybrid fractional laser resurfacing treatment that can be used on a number of skin issues, including fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, dull skin, scars, enlarged pores, and more. It uses both ablative (2940nm) and non-ablative (1470nm) wavelengths to target specific microscopic areas and will not affect any of the surrounding skin. The laser heats up the skin to start the body’s natural healing process and increase collagen production.
The Halo device can also be customized to your needs, so no two treatment sessions are alike.
Candidates for Halo Laser Treatment
Since Halo laser treatment works on all skin types, most patients are good candidates for this innovative treatment. Some of the criteria we look for in ideal candidates include:
- In generally good health
- Have realistic expectations
- Struggling with fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots, enlarged pores, and/or dull skin
- Don’t have any medical conditions that could affect the healing process
Halo Laser Procedure
Treatment with the HALO laser is virtually pain-free because it has an integrated cooling system that monitors the temperature throughout treatment.
To start the treatment, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream to ensure you don’t experience any discomfort during the procedure. Once that sets in, one of our experienced providers will roll the Halo laser handpiece over your skin. Most patients only feel a slight warming sensation.
Treatment can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. We typically recommend one to two treatment sessions to achieve optimal results.
Halo Laser Recovery & Results
As an outpatient, nonsurgical treatment, Halo allows you to go back home immediately after treatment. After treatment, you will likely notice some redness and swelling, but that will diminish in about 3-5 days. At that point, you will also be able to resume most of your daily activities.
When healing, you can wash your face with a gentle cleanser. You’ll also want to apply moisturizer and sunscreen to hydrate and protect your skin from the sun. You’ll want to avoid direct sun exposure for a week post-treatment.
As for results, you will likely see some initial improvement in the week after treatments as any swelling goes down, but you will continue to see results as your skin heals and collagen builds up in the weeks and months after Halo treatment. And the results can last for years, especially if you combine treatment with a high-quality skincare regimen. You can receive maintenance treatment to ensure you stay looking and feeling your absolute best!
