A hormone imbalance can affect every aspect of our lives and often occurs as we age. It can cause unexpected weight gain, mood swings, lack of focus, and low sex drive. That’s where BioTE hormone replacement pellet therapy comes in! This innovative and effective treatment allows you to feel relief from these distressing symptoms quickly and easily.
What are Bioidentical Hormones?
BioTE Hormone Pellet Therapy, also known as bioidentical Hormone Therapy, is plant-based and uses no synthetic hormones. All the hormones in the pellets completely mimic the chemical structure of your body’s natural hormones.
Each BioTE pellet is customized to fit the bioidentical hormone needs of each patient and ensure you can achieve the right hormonal balance for you.
BioTE pellets and supplements offered at The Advanced Center for Plastic Surgery in Baltimore:
Boost Pelleting With BioTE DIM
DIM, or Diindolylmethane, is a substance found in green, cruciferous veggies like kale, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts. DIM helps to bolster your immune function by fighting off viral and bacterial infections, skin disorders, and more. BioTE pellets must be accompanied by BioTE DIM supplements.
BioTE ADK5 and ADK10
When properly combined, vitamins A, D3, and K2 have the power to support bone health, which many women struggle with as they go into middle age. Both ADK5 and ADK 10 can help ensure strong, healthy bones for years. They are strongly associated with reducing the risk of major diseases, such as breast cancer, heart disease, dementia, osteoporosis, and Alzheimer’s.
BioTE Probiotic
Gut health is an essential component in proper digestion, absorption of nutrients, and overall health and wellness. Probiotics like Bifidobacterium longum, lactobacillus acidophilus, and lactobacillus rhamnosus contribute to maintaining gut health, and the addition of vitamin C increases the effectiveness of probiotics in supporting strong immune health.
BioTE Omega 3 and Omega 30
Our bodies need fatty acids to support healthy function, but we’re incapable of producing omega 3 and omega 6, which means we must get them from food or supplements. The BioTE omega 3 supplement delivers a dose of fish oil concentrate and vitamin E, while the omega 30 supplement contains 30 essential fatty acids.
BioTE Iodine Plus
This supplement delivers much-needed minerals, including potassium iodide, iodine, potassium, selenium, and zinc, to protect your thyroid and ensure optimal health.
BioTE Multivitamin
This targeted multivitamin delivers 100% of your daily recommended doses of 20 essential nutrients, including vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, E, and K, as well as folate, iron, zinc, and more.
Thorne Research Methyl-Guard Plus
B-complex vitamins perform various crucial tasks, from converting our food to usable energy to supporting healthy cell growth and ensuring red blood cell production. Methyl-Guard Plus includes vitamins B2 (riboflavin), B6, B9 (folate), and B12.
Thorne Research Meriva 500-SF
Research continues to show the detrimental effects of inflammation in the body. This product contains curcumin, the most active compound in turmeric, and offers powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Candidates for Bioidentical Hormones
Both men and women struggle with hormonal imbalances throughout their lives, but especially as they get older. The symptoms of hormonal imbalance can include brain fog, fatigue, lower sex drive, acne, vaginal dryness, weight gain, hot flashes or night sweats, and thinning or excessive hair. If you’re struggling with any of these symptoms or are going through menopause, you are likely a great candidate for BioTE hormone therapy.
Bioidentical Hormone Treatment
The BioTE hormone replacement pellet therapy treatment is relatively simple. We’ll first clean the treatment area and administer topical anesthetic. Dr. Fischer will then make a small incision and insert the pellet(s) inside. For best results, we typically insert it inside the upper buttocks or hip. We’ll place a small bandage over the area, and you’ll be ready to go back to your normal routine.
Bioidentical Aftercare
Once in place, the body will develop capillaries around the pellet, which will then deliver the hormones directly to the bloodstream within about 24 hours. At this point, you will experience consistent relief through bioidentical hormone therapy. Once the body has completely absorbed the pellet, we’ll insert a new one as needed.
How often you need a new BioTE pellet depends on your specific symptoms and factors such as your age, metabolism, activity level, and stress level.
On average, BioTE pellets last about 3-4 months for women and 4-5 months for men.
