What is Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis is a progressive bone disease that leads to decreased mass and density of the bones. It is primarily caused by low levels of estrogen and testosterone in the body.
The absence of these hormones leads to a lower bone turnover, where old and worn out bone tissue is not replaced by new healthier tissue. The activity of osteoblasts (the cells that build new bone) is therefore limited.
Osteoporosis also affects men
Osteoporosis traditionally affected women at the post-menopause stage, but it becoming an increasing health concern in men as well. In fact, a recent study showed that men are twice as likely to pass away from osteoporosis effects than men.
When the bones lose their density, patients experience a stooped posture, back pain due to a weaker spine, and increased susceptibility to bone fractures.

How BioTe can help with Osteoporosis
Because BioTe is a form of natural bio-identical hormone treatment, it is effective at increasing hormone concentrations in the body (
Hormones induce the growth of bones
When BioTe introduces hormones within your body, they begin to work towards producing new bone tissue. Estrogen works by decreasing bone
In addition, hormones lead to increased energy levels in patients. A more active person maintains a healthier body and healthier bone tissues due to the increased personal activity.
BioTe bio-identical hormone drugs can be combined with weight-bearing exercises and nutritional supplements in order to obtain good bone health. Studies published in the American Journal of OB/GYN have shown the effectiveness of testosterone at building the bones.
According to the study, testosterone replacement led to a four-fold increase in bone density as compared to other synthetic hormone choices. In fact, bio-identical hormone therapies resulted in an 8.3% increase in bone density in patients.
Other benefits of BioTe
The effectiveness of BioTe as a form of hormone replacement therapy has made it useful for many different applications. In addition to boosting the health of the bones, it also leads to increased energy levels among patients, improved sex drive, and relief of depression and anxiety.
BioTe pellets are also quickly absorbed by the body, where the cells can begin to benefit from the introduction of the hormones. The pellet form of BioTe is placed in the tissues beneath the skin or in the buttocks region, where they immediately become useful to the cells.
