Dr. Beverly A. Fischer, M.D
Dr. Beverly A. Fischer has a passion: She believes that plastic surgery makes a profound difference in people’s lives. Dr. Fischer, a leading female surgeon in the industry, has spent over 20 years helping her patients transform both emotionally and physically. She and her caring, all-female staff are dedicated to making procedures as pleasant as possible. They listen to their patients, understand their needs and care for them. Together, they have helped hundreds of people improve their confidence by adjusting their appearance.
As a practitioner of advanced plastic surgery, Dr. Fischer specializes in facelifts. She has performed more than 500 facelift procedures so far, which is more than most plastic surgeons complete in their entire career. Dr. Fischer’s techniques include special surgical considerations for mature patients and a method to ensure a quicker recovery time than is usually expected. Many patients find they feel comfortable sharing photos of themselves after only a week.
Dr. Fischer is also a prominent plastic surgeon in the area of gender affirmation. She understands the finer points of both male-to-female and female-to-male transitions, and is always seeking innovative solutions to the unique needs presented by this procedure, such as using BioTE instead of traditional hormone therapy.
As one of her patients recently wrote after surgery, “I could never thank you enough… I feel normal and really good about myself.”
Dr. Fischer has a long history of academic and medical accomplishments. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Gettysburg College (graduating Cum Laude) and a Doctorate of Medicine from Albany Medical College, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, an Honorary Society recognizing scholastic achievement. She then completed a six-year general surgery residency at George Washington University, becoming chief resident in charge during her final year.
Being a Maryland native, Dr. Fischer then chose to enroll in the Plastic Surgery Residency program at Johns Hopkins University. She still maintains ties to JHU through her teaching appointment as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery.
After her first year in private practice, Dr. Fischer was selected as one of “Baltimore’s Best” Top Plastic Surgeons by Baltimore Magazine.
Currently, Dr. Fischer keeps a busy schedule of speaking engagements, such as the Gender East Conference, where she is invited to discuss various advanced plastic surgery topics.
Dr. Fischer’s state-of-the-art practice, The Advanced Center for Plastic Surgery, maintains an in-house operating room, complete with registered recovery nurses, an extended hour recovery suite and staff dedicated to pampering patients throughout their stay. As a result, it is widely recognized as one of the leading advanced plastic surgery clinics in the Baltimore area.
