What is the Halo™?

The Halo™ is a hybrid fractional laser treatment that can be used to treat an incredible range of skin imperfections. Because this treatment can be customized to treat your specific needs, the amount of time each session takes, as well as the amount of downtime experienced, can vary dramatically from patient to patient.

This treatment can be used to address:

  • Discoloration
  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines
  • Poor texture
  • Scars
  • Visible signs of aging
  • Wrinkles

How Does it Work?

During a Halo™ treatment, laser energy is delivered deep into the skin in a series of fractionated beams. Because this laser energy is delivered in fractionated sections rather than all at once, a large part of the treatment area is left unaffected. This helps increase the speed at which healing occurs.

Once this laser energy hits the deep layers of the skin, it is absorbed as heat by the structures there. This triggers the body’s natural healing process, causing newer, healthier skin tissues and proteins to form. These support the natural strength and health of the skin and help eliminate the structures responsible for pigmentation issues.

Before treatment begins, a topical anesthetic is usually applied to the treatment area to improve the amount of comfort patients feel during the procedure. The treatment itself feels like heat with a prickling sensation that can usually be tolerated well by patients that have received an anesthetic.

Before And After

What Results can I Expect from Treatment?

Depending on the intensity of the treatment undergone, patients will experience different results and varying degrees of downtime. However, throughout their recovery period, every patient will gradually see improvements in the overall texture, tone, and appearance of their skin. The pores slowly become smaller, and the signs of aging begin to subtly fade.

Before undergoing a Halo™ treatment, patients must first schedule a consultation appointment with a member of our medical staff. During this appointment, a medical practitioner will ask each patient about their treatment goals and examine their skin closely. Using this information, the practitioner will help the patient decide if a series of Halo™ treatments is right for their cosmetic goals.
